Coaches Expectations of Players

              I.      Prior to Tryouts:

·        Fitness:  It is expected that the athlete comes into preseason fit and ready to go.  The coaching staff does not want to spend the preseason getting you in shape.  Getting in good physical condition takes at minimum 4-6 weeks at least 5-6 times a week for 30 minutes.  The calendar provides a workout schedule for the athlete to follow if a guide is needed.

·        Captains Practice:  This is an opportunity for the athletes to improve their strength, conditioning and ball skills.  The times are on the calendar.  Keep in mind that this is not mandatory, but is a great way to get to know other athletes and come to preseason prepared.  All practices will start at the track field at NCHS.  The captains this year are Jenny Simpson, Paulina Rodriguez and Clare Ashforth (contact info is on the first page).

·        Sports Council Camp:  The dates are on the calendar.  This is not mandatory, but is a great way to get to know the athletes prior to the start of preseason

           II.      Paperwork for Tryouts

·        Parent Permission Form

·        Sports Medical Release Form

·        Both forms must be in before August 18th.  If you don’t have them before tryouts you can’t participate.  The earlier you hand them in the better.
